During each energetic class, students of all levels burn up to 1,200 calories as they punch, jab, and roundhouse kick their way toward firmer physiques. Each class starts with a warm-up, such as a jog around the gym or holding plank poses, before an instructor leads participants through various moves and techniques on a heavy bag. Students must wear gloves during class, which they can purchase from the gym for an additional $20.
