Excellent service, the restaurant inside has great authentic Mexican food

After navigating floating platform staircases, dodging living-room-level bosses, and searching for randomly appearing bathroom keys, most homeowners come to regret purchasing houses built by video-game designers. Today's Groupon offers respite from the chaos: for $99, you get a one-night stay inside a junior suite at the Clarendon Hotel (up to a $201.06 value, including a $15 hotel services fee) in the Midtown Museum District. This deal includes a complimentary snacks and drinks from the minibar at check-in and a $20 gift card to use on your next stay. There is no purchase limit on today's Groupon, which can only be used toward junior suites.

Experience a mini-vacation inside one of the Clarendon Hotel's spacious one-bedroom suites overlooking its award-winning pool—renowned for its underwater speakers, scalp- and shoulder-massaging water jets, bubbling fountains, two-story glass water wall, and jacuzzi that holds more than 50 people. The palatial pool is appropriately offset by an Italian tile mural accented with more 24K gold and platinum than a suitcase full of novelty belt buckles. And by night, the almost 1,000 stars etched into the pool's bottom come out to shine, creating a surreally inverted night sky that you can admire from the comfort of your sweet suite. Draped in a comfy bathrobe, feel free to unwind on a large king-size bed or across two doubles, creating a human bridge for the room's troll to hide under. Mixed-media maestros, meanwhile, will want to crank the A/C to ice-cold and conduct a techno-symphony using the large flat-screen TV, free WiFi, and stereo with iPod dock.

Live Arizona sunsets can be oohed and ahhed at every night from the Clarendon Hotel's rooftop deck, which also boasts breathtaking views of the city skyline and surrounding mountain ranges. Combine three of today's Groupon for a long weekend getaway, or book even more and give yourself the solitude you need to finally solve your Rubik's Cube.

A 18.27% occupancy tax is not included in this Groupon.

In 2009, the Phoenix New Times called the Clarendon's pool the Best Public Pool You Didn't Know Was Public. TripAdvisors rated the Clarendon Hotel one of Phoenix's top 30 hotels, and awarded it an average of four owl eyes. Citysearchers give the hotel a 4.5-star average, while 98 Yelpers give it an average of 3.5:

  • My wife came across this interesting hotel online, and we were really glad she did. Everything was fun, interesting, and just right. The rooms are spacious, with extra large flat screen TVs. – JohnJSmallwood, TripAdvisor
  • This hotel is a real find - I travel frequently for business and have rarely come across a hotel that has both style and exceptional service. The staff was knowledgable [sic], friendly and abundantly helpful. The bed was delightful - one of the best nights of rest I've had on the road. – ewbrennan, Citysearch

I didn't get a key until midnight there was something going on with the system. Everything else went well.

It was a very kitchy hotel. There was yoga by the pool when we tried to swim on Sunday night. And it went almost until 10pm when the pool closed which was a bummer. There was construction going on during our stay so there was some noise associated with that but luckily it was after 10am. The elevator was down a few times. Also the lobby was disheveled making it difficult and more time consuming to check in/out. All in all, however, we enjoyed ourselves.

A fantastic place to stay, rest, and relax. I would highly recommend this establishment, the staff is friendly and extremely accommodating, the deluxe king room overlooking the pool was spacious, clean, and well put together. The included massage was also a nice touch and was done by a very professional and experienced staff. Overall and amazing experience!
