TonyTOP REVIEWERHELPFUL REVIEWER My wife had a great experience. From scheduling, to confirming, to the appointment. Everything was excellent. Thanks Cloud 9. Keep up the great work.
LindseyTOP REVIEWERHELPFUL REVIEWER I normally read reviews prior to purchasing a Groupon, but because I had been here about 3-4 years prior and didn't have any issues, I didn't bother checking. To start, the booking process wasn't as easy as it should be. I started by texting the number provided to see if they even had an opening for that coming Saturday for a 60 or 90 minute massage, but the person on the other end kept insisting they needed all of my info before confirming availability. Why do I need to provide you with my name, address, phone numbers, etc. before I even know if you have any openings for the date I need? I called instead, but even that process was difficult. I was told that since I wasn't a first time booker, I wouldn't qualify to use the Groupon. So I looked at the fine print and it says "not eligible for anyone that has been here within the last 12 months”. I called back, and the woman said “oh, it’s supposed to say 24 months – Groupon must not have changed it”. Even still, I hadn’t been in 3-4 years so I should have been good to go. She did book me. She took my Groupon voucher code and credit card info over the phone to secure my appointment, which is interesting since she later said their credit card machines are down and can only accept cash. I flew home from a work trip and had missed text messages saying the massage therapist was sick, so they could only offer me a free upgrade to a 30 minute back massage and a 60 minute facial. Sounds nice any other time, but I really needed a full body massage. In hindsight, I’m not sure why she couldn’t just continue the massage for the full 60 minutes as for the first 30 minutes she did my back, arms, neck and feet... but I didn’t really have any other option at that point so I took it. They’re in the process of getting settled in their new space, so the atmosphere is in flux, but it isn’t your typical spa atmosphere. The waiting area is nice. The room/floor vibrated a lot from something either outside or under the building and the A/C was a bit noisy, but the spa music did help with that. The real kicker was when I went to leave, she told me I owed an additional $20 for a booking fee and tax. I have never… EVER run into this with any other Groupon. This was on top of the tip I also gave her which also had to be in cash since their "credit card machine was down" - even though she took my credit card info. I didn’t even put up a fight because I truly just wanted to leave as this woman kept trying to sell me on discounted packages and convince me how nice the place was… reminding me over and over that they’ve been in business for 20 years. All of these issues I now see listed below in the comments and reviews and they are all true. In one sense, you think “what do you expect from a Groupon” but on the other hand, I’ve had mostly good experiences with all of my Groupon’s and spa experiences. I noticed she replied to someone on here about reading the fine print… I think she needs to read the fine print herself, because it doesn’t say anything about additional fees to be paid there, and it still says that it’s only non-applicable to those who’ve been there within the last 12 months… not first timers, not prior to the last 24 months. I love supporting small businesses and Groupon has always been a good way for me to try out a local business, but it seems this business is doing whatever they can to make whatever money they can and likely needs someone with experience to run their office affairs.
The Massus is great. But everytime I had an appointment she was late . But the receptionist talks over you and very rude. She has no patients . Learn to understand what someone is saying, not be so confrontational. I'm not coming back 1st bad experience.
My esthetician was great, very knowledgeable. I had a Groupon for massage but switched to a facial because that was what they could fit me in for ( I called the same day), I just paid the difference.
