CM Photographics’ team of six lens wranglers leads budding and seasoned photographers through two- and four-hour lessons designed to improve shutter skills. During beginner classes, seasoned instructors teach pupils the basics of DSLR camera operation, demystify the process of lens selection, and describe methods for overcoming a flashbulb’s severe stage fright. Students also discover which photo mode is best suited to a variety of situations and file away tips about equipment and accessories for preventing camera loneliness.

More experienced picture snappers can refine skills in the advanced class, which begins with a quick overview of material covered in the basic class, then covers the techniques of off-camera and on-camera flash. Students also learn tips for posing subjects and shooing off persistent poltergeists to create eye-catching compositions. Both beginning and advanced students may opt for the four-hour class, in which participants practice newly learned techniques with the help of live models.

The Photo Booth Group

The Photo Booth Group bolsters bashes by delivering and setting up photo booths that fit up to 16 hard-partying subjects. Their open-air style booths—not enclosed by curtains—allow for larger group shots than traditional enclosed booths. Packages come with props, digital files, and unlimited prints that only take 20 seconds to print out, along with an on-site attendant.
