Q:

I have bought a DSLR a year back, but not completely utilized its potential and still continue to use it as a point and shoot camera. What is the difference between 2 and 4 hour sessions? What extra do we lean in the 4 hours which we will miss in the 2 hour session. This question is with respect to both beginners and advanced.

Prem  asked on  Aug 28, 2012

A:

Hey Prem, The 4 hour class involves 2 hours of shooting time with live models. That's the main difference for both beginner and advanced classes. CM

Q:

Who is considered a beginner and who would be a fit for an advanced class?

Samuel G.  asked on  Aug 28, 2012

A:

Hey Samuel, If you are proficient in the operation of your camera and shooting in modes other than program/auto then you should attend the advanced class. If you are still getting to know your camera and the basic features/functions, then I would stick with the beginner class.

Q:

My main interest is to learn more about taking photos of my jewelry. Would an advanced class be a wise choice and can I bring my own pieces to shoot during this time instead of using live models?

Paula S.  asked on  Aug 28, 2012

A:

Hey Paula - Macro photography would not be one of the focuses of the course, so unfortunately I don't think that this would probably be the best fit for you at this time. If you would like some one on one consultation please contact us at office@cm-photographics.com and we can try and assist you.

Q:

When are the classes typically held? Week day? Week night? Weekend? Will there be multiple class to choose from? Is there an existing schedule?

Corissa  asked on  Aug 28, 2012

A:

The expiration on this groupon is about 6 months, so there are TONS of options that will be available. Right now we have a variety of weeknight/weekend availabilities. As soon as you purchase the groupon it has a link to our schedule/availability for all of the classes. The earliest that any of the classes are offered is 5pm during the weekday. You definitely want to bring your camera!
