The Issue: High Euthanasia Rate for Dogs in Shelters
Approximately 60% of the dogs that enter shelters every year are euthanized, according to data from the ASPCA. Due to overcrowding issues, many high-kill shelters only have a small window of time to introduce dogs to the public. After that time, the dogs that remain are put down in order to make room for a new batch of dogs.
The Campaign: Rescuing Dogs from a High-Kill Shelter
If 30 people donate $10, then Coastal Boxer Rescue of Florida can rescue 10 dogs from a high-kill shelter to prevent them from being euthanized. If this campaign raises $4,000, then the organization can fund all of the food, shelter, and vaccination costs for these dogs.

Coastal Boxer Rescue of Florida
A group of volunteers founded Coastal Boxer Rescue of Florida in 2005 to rescue abandoned, abused, and neglected boxers. The organization takes in dogs from owners who can no longer care for them, as well as from high-kill shelters that would otherwise euthanize the animals due to lack of space. With no physical office, volunteers coordinate with vets and foster families to provide dogs with medical treatments, food, and loving care until they can find their forever home. Coastal Boxer Rescue cares for more than 100 boxers annually, with the number rising each year.
