Q:

Can the deal be used for kids? We are interested in the 10 punch card deal. can they share it as I'm not sure if they'll enjoy it. They are 8 and 6. Thanks

Usha S.  asked on  Aug 17, 2012

A:

Hi Usha Yes, kids can use the punch cards, just keep in mind that the offer includes the introductory lesson for which they are too young. We'd be open to discussing honouring the deal for drop-in passes for them if you aren't interested in 'learning the ropes' to belay them yourself. Coastal

Q:

HI! I am interested in the 10-punch cards for two people, and in the description, it says that option costs $129. However, when you go to buy it, it costs $135. Did it get mixed up with the 2 person month long membership option? Please clarify which is which! Thanks!

Ana Cecilia V.  asked on  Aug 17, 2012

A:

Hi Ana Cecilia Apparently there's a bit of a Groupon gaffe on the purchasing options. Unfortunately, we couldn't see these questions until this morning. Sorry about that, and hope they've corrected the issue. Coastal

Q:

Is there a misprint on the prices? Since it clearly says: $75 for a one-month membership with unlimited visits, equipment rental during each visit, and an introductory lesson (a $285 value) $135 for the above membership for two people (a $570 value) $73 for a 10-visit punch card with equipment rentals during each visit and an introductory lesson (a $260 value) $129 for the above punch card for two people (a $520 value) But when you press 'buy', it doesn't say "$135 for the above membership for two people (a $570 value)". It says the one-month membership with unlimited visits is $129. Which ones are the correct prices? How can I ensure I order the correct ones since the prices are different when I press 'buy' and on the main page?

Hi Groupon has been advised of this issue. Thanks for taking the time to describe it in detail. Coastal

Q:

How long do the punch cards last? For you need to activate and/or finish them by the February 1st expiration date? Or is that for the one month membership?

Llewellyn C.  asked on  Aug 16, 2012

A:

Hi Llewellyn You'd need to activate the card by February 1st, (take the course) and then you could use the 10 visits at your leisure. If you aren't interested in taking the course, but just want to climb, we could discuss your using the punch card for our drop-in sessions. Coastal Coastal

Q:

If I get the 10 session punch card, do i need to use them all within the 31 days to get the full benefit?

Nikki K.  asked on  Aug 17, 2012

A:

Hi Nikki Apologies for the late response. Nope, the punch card is valid for 10 visits and not restricted to the 31 day period of the month pass. Coastal

Q:

We have nearly 13 yr old twins - can they use the 10 visit pass between them?

Maggi  asked on  Aug 18, 2012

A:

Hi Maggi Was your plan to take the lesson and then bring them in and belay them yourself? If so, then sure. No problem. :) They're right on the brink of being old enough to take the lesson themselves, but we'd need to see some very mature behaviour to allow them to hold the ropes for each other. Coastal.

Q:

Are there any age restrictions for the participants? Also if I buy 10 vouchers can I bring a friend or a family member along or do I have to use them up all myself? Thanks!

K Z.  asked on  Aug 20, 2012

A:

Hi KZ You could use them for friends/family, just understand that you'd learn to belay first off, and you'd be the one belaying them. Hope that helps! Coastal.
