About Coastal Coffee Roasters

Hailing from upstate New York, the Mallett family migrated South on a mission to do one thing: produce great coffee. Today, the Malletts follow through on that mission from inside their ever-expanding Summerville facility, where they transform organically grown beans into freshly roasted mugs of coffee.

A simple, small-batch process lies at the heart of each Coastal Coffee Roasters product, starting with hand-sorted beans that, much like what you learned in geometry, only get used on an as-needed basis. Though simple, the process yields rich blends, decafs, and specialties, all of which can be enjoyed with the coffeehouse's full menu of food. Aside from staying on the good side of tastebuds, the Malletts aim to stay on the right side of karma, too, both by remaining active in the community and retaining organic and fair-trade certifications, among others.
