$8 for $16 Worth of Mexican Food and Drinks

The menu includes chile verde pork tips in spicy tomatillo sauce, served with spanish rice, fried beans, and tortillas ($9.99); carne Norteña steak with jalapeños and bacon ($10.99); and a vegetarian quesadilla panchitas stuffed with grilled mushrooms, zucchini, bell peppers, onion, and cheese ($7.99).

Cocina Grande

Tradition is alive at Cocina Grande. The family of cooks follows their grandmother’s traditional recipes in order to recreate the vibrant yet relatively mild Mexican meals that they grew up on. Patrons can dip tortilla chips into cheesy queso flameado, which arrives at tables beneath a flash of fire, or scoop up lime-marinated ceviche de pescado with mini shovels attached to their chins. For the main course, chefs serve up dishes such as chicken fajitas or the Piña Hawaiana—half a pineapple shell filled with bay scallops, shrimp, and pineapple, then topped with melted cheese. Libations from a full bar help to wash it all down.
