We love this place. Great food, cozy vibe. Have been there with and without a Groupon. Will definitely be back.

What You'll Get

Cut off from the mainland, island communities tend to create unique local cuisine by adapting to the ingredients on hand, as theorized in Charles Darwin's Descent of Ham. Make the natural selection with this Groupon.

Choose from Two Options

  • $29 for one appetizer, two entrees, and two coquito cocktails (up to a $75.95 total value)
  • $58 for two appetizers, four entrees, and four coquito cocktails (up to a $151.90 total value)

Appetizers (up to a $13.95 value) include coconut-crusted shrimp, and entrees (up to a $23 value) include shrimp sautéed in creole sauce and pork loin cooked in a demi-glaze with red-wine reduction, stuffed with sweet plantains. Meals are complemented with rich coquito cocktails (an $8 value) from the bar. A complete menu is available here.

Coco Restaurant

As the bistro's earthy yellowed brick and billowing ocean-hued drapery draw diners in, the surprising blend of old San Juan dishes and urban culinary artistry evokes the spirit of Puerto Rico. Amid modern art and cherry-stained tables, a polyglot crowd lends a lulling backdrop to romantic dinners or shrimp-juggling competitions. Seafood options such as red snapper dressed in creole sauce abound, befitting the menu's tropical origins. A turf-side delight, the pork loin basks on a seaside of papaya-rum reduction in the Lomo de Cerdo. The kitchen's creativity is matched by the bar's reservoir of house cocktails, such as the Cocotini, made with vodka, rum, and coconut shavings, or the Lemongrass's blend of apple juice, fresh lime, and vodka. A live salsa band starts playing between 8:30 and 9 p.m. every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, complementing the restaurant's imaginative atmosphere.
