What You'll Get
Unlike summer camps, boot camps won't require you to put on a fund-raising talent show to stop a nefarious computer company from turning Lake Cowabunga into its new industrial-waste depository. Team up to fight unfitness with today's deal: for $89, you get a month of unlimited boot camp classes at Code Pink Boot Camp (a $199 value). Classes take place at Arcadia High School on East Indian School Road, Cholla Cove Park on East Lupine Avenue, and Thunderbird Academy on East Sutton Drive.
Code Pink Boot Camps are designed to provide a fun fitness atmosphere that will inspire women to get and stay in their sveltest possible shape. Each session lasts one hour, and is conducted by encouraging, trained instructors committed to providing intense, safe workouts that are varied frequently to keep participants on the tips of their metatarsals. Code Pink's camps are for women only, meaning they are free from the cigar-smoking, bourbon-swilling men in three-piece suits who haunt many traditional fitness meccas, barking about the downfall of their gentlemen's clubs and bursting nasal capillaries at an alarming rate.
Inspiring instructors will welcome ladies of all ages and fitness levels into the gently enveloping fold. Each participant will be put through the paces of obstacle courses, cardio, strength training, abdominal exercises, and flexibility routines drawn from yoga, Pilates, claymation movies, and more. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and running shoes to your boot-camp sessions, and bring 5-pound dumbbell weights, an exercise mat, and plenty of water.
