Colonial Heritage Golf Club

Colonial Heritage Golf Club’s 18-hole course presents a 6,889-yard path that begins and ends in the shadow of the stately clubhouse’s ivory columns and spires. Along with dense tree lines that loom on the edges of nearly every hole, the par 72 layout brings water hazards into play on five holes, further complicating play for those without the ability to chip out of a lakebed. The course ends with an epic design at the 18th hole, a 544-yard par 5 where approach shots must avoid a bunker that runs along the left side of the fairway as it approaches the green. Colonial Heritage also features a grass-tee driving range, a chipping green, and a pro shop with gear from Titleist and other top brands.

Classic American dishes add splashes of color to the white tablecloths of the Magnolia Room and the more casual counters of The Grill, where golfers can unwind after a round or families can gather to celebrate strangers’ birthdays. Highlighted by shrimp and grits, stuffed pork loin, and chicken marsala, the restaurants’ menu won the 2011 Taste of Williamsburg.
