What You'll Get
During his summer-camp days in Maine, young Pablo Picasso showed an innate knack for poison-ivy treatment but scored low marks in popsicle sticks and finger paints. One-up pintsize Picasso with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of paint-your-own ceramics at Color Me Mine, with locations in Langley, Port Moody, and Richmond.
Color Me Mine puts paintbrushes and pottery in the mitts of customers old and young. Budding Toyozo Arakawas will follow six easy steps to craft beautifully painted ceramics, first choosing a ceramic piece ($15–$69) from Color Me Mine's seasonally changing selection of hundreds of items.
After charting out the desired design from their imagination or Color Me Mine's idea gallery, painters will select a lead-free, dishwasher-safe underglaze from Color Me Mine's cast of colors, applying paint with the focus of a peregrine falcon occupied by a Rockwellian spirit. Color Me Mine handles all kiln-firing work, allowing clients to take home their final products within seven days. Though not included with this Groupon, a firing fee of $6 for children 12 and younger and $9 for adults also covers all paints, supplies, and glazing.
