What You'll Get

Early philosophers often engaged in debates concerning the nature of humor, posing each other enigmatic questions beginning with "What's the deal with" and ending with "Am I right?" Indulge in classic rhetoric with today's Groupon: for $29, you get one ticket to see Jim Gaffigan perform live on Saturday, June 25 at 8 p.m. (up to a $58.50 value). Comix at Foxwoods is presenting the show in the MGM Grand Theater, located in the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket. Tickets are valid for Mezzanine and Parterre seating (excluding the Mezzanine VIP section) and seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Nationally renowned for his understated and quirky style, award-winning comedian Jim Gaffigan uses his quiet witticisms to guide the release of pent-up guffaws within the 4,000-seat MGM Grand Theater. Stopping by on the national run of his Mr. Universe tour, the Indiana-born stage comic––who will float to Connecticut on a barge carrying highly flammable cornhusks––returns to stand-up after numerous guest-starring roles on shows such as Flight of the Conchords, Bored to Death, and all three variations of the crime-scene drama Law and Order, treating live audiences to the type of naive humor that has made him a staple on The Late Show with David Letterman and Conan. Aside from his stints on the small screen, Gaffigan also enjoys a bustling movie career, and took to Broadway in the limited-engagement play That Championship Season, which co-starred Kiefer Sutherland and a number of seasoned stage props.
