This little gem of a show, all awash in pirates, comedy and music, follows the swashbuckling adventures of five scalawag shipmates, each of whom has a deep, dark, dirty little secret they've kept as buried treasure. Billed as a cross between the interactive fun of Rocky Horror Picture Show, South Park and Pirates of the Caribbean, this irreverent one-act romp at Denver's The Armoury is set to include improv games, and advises audience members to bring packets of sugar, rubber ducks, noise makers, condoms and panties to the participatory party. The Sea Is a Restless Whore is The Community College of Denver's entry to the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival, and features a book and lyrics by Brian Boone, whose credits include College Humor and Funny or Die.
This production contains sexual innuendo and potty humor, and is not for children or the easily-offended.
The show runs one hour.
You’re advised to bring money to tip your bartender, and the following may come in handy during the voyage: packets of sugar, rubber ducks, noise makers, condoms, panties.
