A child’s dream is an adult’s nightmare in the moving and funny drama, Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them. Their mother dead, their father absent, 12-year-old Edith and her 16-year-old brother Kenny go about transforming their remote farm into an emotional fortress under their own control. With little supervision, they live by their own rules, inviting in Kenny’s study-buddy Benji when he needs a place to crash. But their refugee (and independence) appears to fracture as Kenny’s and Benji’s relationship becomes more than friendship .. and when Edith, a crack shot with a BB gun, scores a hit that could cost them everything. Now Company One Theatre presents the New England premiere of this funny, tender and poignant story of growing up, staying young and falling in love by A. Rey Pamatmat.
