Marking its 25th anniversary, the Santa Barbara Concours d’Elegance, which benefits the United Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara, wheels rare-collector cars and motorcycles onto well-manicured fields. The classic-car show exhibits haute jalopies such as Ferraris, Austin Healeys, and Alfa Romeos, most of which hail from 1927–1957. Revel in the smooth lines of the 1956 Fiat Eden Roc or challenge the special Indy 500 factory pace car to a race. During the Concours d’Elegance grand-finale event, which will highlight a 1939 Bugatti Type 57C once owned by the shah of Iran, horseless-carriage experts judge 20 vehicle classes and award prizes, including Best in Show, at 2 p.m. The spotlight moves from sleek rides to wines during the second-annual Vino d’Elegance event both Saturday and Sunday. The soiree will include a cooking demonstration by Scott Leibfried of Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen, a book signing by Sideways author Rex Pickett, and a Halloween trick-or-treat event for kids. Though it is not included in this Groupon, patrons can upgrade the general-admission package to include a tasting and sample local, national, and international grape concoctions celebrating the harvest season and Zeus’s birthday. VIP upgrades are also available.
