Surrender to salsa in food and dance form with today’s saucy, dancey Groupon. For $8, you’ll get $25 worth of Latin munches, mojitos, moves, and music at Conga Latin Bistro, the Twin Cities’ only Nuevo Latino restaurant known for lively dancing and top-notch cuisine. Colorful murals lend a carefree, spring-break feel to the spacious eatery. Start with an order of empanadas, crispy pouches stuffed with beef, chicken, or cheese savories ($8.95), and signature Conga Blue cocktail ($6.50): the cerulean sip, shaded by sweet blue curacao, packs a potent punch with triple house sour, and Red Bull. For dinner, try the garlic and butter grilled halibut sided with potatoes ($14.75); the paella Valenciana (for two), a slow-stewed combination of saffron, lobster, shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, halibut, pork, chicken, and Spanish sausages ($40); the New York steak with shrimp in garlic sauce ($16.95); or masitas con mofongo (pork tenderloin with fried crush plantains, $11.95).
Like hot sauce or flame-jelly, you control the heat of your dining experience: cozy up for an intimate meal in the conga room (mild), belly up to the bar to take in a live show performance (medium), or take to bi-level dance floor (explosionified). Conga Latin Bistro features live Latin music seven days a week. The restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Stay for dancing Monday through Sunday from 9:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Note: Conga Latin Bistro has a dress code (no baseball hats, other hats, sandals, hoods, sport jerseys, tennis shoes, shorts for men, baggy clothing, and cargo pants. Conga says you'll be denied entry if you're not dressed appropriately after 9:30 p.m.

Party Hearty Alternative Spring Breaks
The Nuevo Latino treats of Conga Latin Bistro might remind you of spring break south of the border. More likely, however, you spent spring break at one of these party-hearty, alternative locations:
Washington, DC: Whaoooh! You can spell party with just two letters—D and C. Come see how laws are made and visit a variety of historical statues! Get down and get funky with the actual Enola Gay at the city’s hottest government-funded museum, the Smithsonian.
Charleston, South Carolina: It’s been named the best-mannered city in the U.S., and for good reason: ‘cause it’s party central! Bring the party to a number of historical U.S. synagogues, and be sure to check out the longest cable-stayed bridge in the Western Hemisphere. Oh yeah!
Utica, New York: You better believe it’s the most populous of the 18 cities named Utica, probably ‘cause party people love the Erie Canal and lake-effect snow deep into the summer months.
