Cooking is a natural skill for most adults, just like riding a segway or tickling bears, but there are often too few hours in the day to indulge in these inherent abilities. Enjoy home cooking while saving time for grizzly giggles with today's Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of ready-to-cook meals from Cook!. This Groupon does not include delivery fees; check out the delivery schedule and rates for your area here.
Real Delicious and Real Detox selections arrive with everything necessary to get cooking. Real Delicious meals are ideal for daily dinners or biyearly food fights, and Real Detox meals are best enjoyed as part of Cook!’s monthly one- or two-week detox program, which seeks to cleanse the body of free radicals and provide health benefits such as weight loss and increased stamina (starting at $355). Each kit comes with easy-to-follow directions to transform local, sustainable ingredients into edible works of art in 20 minutes or less. Entrees feed one person or two hobbits and a hamster. Cook!'s Real Delicious meal options are available in the only six food groups known to man: healthy weekly special ($14.95), salad lunch ($12.95), meat lovers ($15.95), grass-fed beef ($18.95), sustainable seafood ($17.95), and vegetarian ($12.95).
Though the menu changes weekly based on seasonal varieties, recent recipes have included smoky tomato-chipotle-spiced wild Alaskan salmon and vegetarian all-bean chili with brown rice. Check out this month's full Real Delicious menu here, a sample Real Detox menu here, and more on the simple ordering process here.
Cook!'s Real Delicious meals can be picked up at Peekadoodle Kids Club or at the Oakland location on Wednesdays between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. or delivered between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Real Detox meals are delivered on Mondays and Thursdays between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. or available for pick-up between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. only at the Oakland location. The healthy, well-prepared recipes save long hours spent mulling in the spice aisle, sobbing over chopped onions, scrubbing burnt rice off of pans, and bleaching the mixing spoon.
