Once the preferred currency of American territories, the cookie has slowly become delicious. Today’s Groupon hurls exceptional sweetness at you with $60 worth of customized cookie confections from Cookies by Design for $30. Your sweet teeth will sing 32-part harmonies of sugary jubilation.
Chewier than baseball bats, the cookie is a perfect dessert food. Share the gift of edible holiday heroes with cookie baskets featuring Santa and spouse or Hanukkah-themed edibles. Cookies are a great way to send a message for any occasion, be it a birthday, a time to give thanks, or a Tuesday. Individual decorated cookies cost $3.49 each, and baskets start at $14.24. Cookies by Design’s lovely and lustful arrangements fulfill all the potential a cookie has from the day it’s planted in the ground as a seed to the day it’s shucked from its stalk.
As the official baked good of California, the cookie is a naturally rich source of endorphins and potassium. While pies mumble and crème brulees crumble under the pressure of public speaking, a cookie bouquet is always cool, confident, and a pollen-free pleaser perfect for the upcoming holidays, birthdays, or the release of James Cameron's Avatar.
You can pick up your arrangement at the Santee location or pay extra for delivery.

Great Moments in Cookie Diplomacy
A gift of cookies can say so many things, which is why cookies have been a favorite tool of diplomacy for hundreds of years. Here are some great moments in cookie diplomacy:
1452: The House of Valois and the House of Plantagenet exchange half-moon cookies and agree to keep their war for the French throne going for an extra year, because the Hundred Years' War sounds so much better than the Ninety-Nine Years' War.
1775: The American Revolutionary War almost doesn't happen when the British flatter the American populace by sending every household a tin of macaroons. Only when three members of the Virginia Macaroon Bakers Guild immolate themselves to protest their lost business does America go to war.
1919: The Treaty of Versailles ends World War I, but after the parties bond over freshly baked sugar cookies, all sides agree that a sequel is not out of the question.
1972: President Nixon visits China but decides against carrying out his secret plan to transform into a swarm of China-conquering bees when a fortune cookie advises him, "It doesn't matter. Who is without flaw?"
