My family did a last minute trip to the Everglades and Coopertown did not disappoint. I had family visiting from Hawaii and California and they loved the animal show and the air boat tour. Definitely would recommend, while visiting Florida this is a MUST!

Friendly staff and great experience! We got to take pictures with the baby gator and have a nice conversation with our guide after the tour. He explained that the best time to see alligators is in the winter. Although we didn't see any, we still had a great time!

Great tour guide, didn’t see any alligators on the ride, but that’s just luck. Would recommend Coopertown.

About Coopertown Airboat Tours

The Original Airboat Tour of the Everglades National Park, Coopertown Airboat Tours & Restaurant was established in 1945 by our founding father John Cooper. With over 75 years of experience traveling deep into the wetlands of the National Park, come and experience the River of Grass and the ecosystem our gators call home.

The airboats that depart from Coopertown head deep into the wetlands, where sawgrass covers the water and gators are plentiful. Guides point out a wide variety of wildlife, ranging from herons and turtles to endangered species such as the snail kite. For a more intimate encounter with nature, they also run private tours, voyaging into areas that are only accessible by smaller airboats. Tours typically culminate by the Coopertown restaurant and gift shop. There, guests can snack on the frog legs that started it all, or sample other swampland delights including gator-tail nuggets and catfish.
