Like piñatas, bodies must be filled with quality ingredients to effectively satisfy the demands of screaming children. Summon the strength to endure a baseball batting from a blindfolded child with today's Groupon for bistro fare and drinks at Coral Room. Choose from two options:

  • For $10, you get $20 worth of breakfast, served weekdays from 7 a.m. until noon.
  • For $15, you get $30 worth of dinner, served daily starting at 4 p.m.

Opened in 2002, Coral Room serves up bistro-style fare infused with creativity and health-consciousness. For breakfast, Coral Room features omelets, griddled grains, hashes, crêpes, and a collection of egg benedicts. Colorado peaches and cream crêpes keep the mood light ($6), and the crab-cake benedict's marauding band of poached eggs, sautéed spinach, hollandaise, and potatoes dismember hunger with the precision of an astronaut ($12). Dinner-goers can sift through a menu stocked with salads, appetizers, small plates, and entrees. Coconut tempura white prawns ($10) and prince edward island mussels ($12) act as meal-coronating opening acts, while entrees such as the Dakota farms filet mignon ($29) and the sesame salmon, served in teriyaki with whipped potatoes and asparagus ($19), quell carnivorous cravings.

The mirror-lined walls, horseshoe-shaped bar, contemporary décor, and lack of axe-jugglers help Coral Room maintain a casual, inviting atmosphere good for dining with friends or grabbing a drink from its extensive beverage menu.

The Examiner gave the Coral Room a positive review and 77% of more than 100 Urbanspooners recommend it. Yelpers give it a 3.5-star average, and Citysearchers award it an average of four stars.
