Q:

I have rhuemitoid arthritis ! dealing with it for a year. Will yoga help me with joint pain and keep me more active. I am not real active at this point. I need help with flexibility. Need to start moving.

Nancy A.  asked on  Feb 12, 2013

A:

Hi Nancy, Yoga is very beneficial for rheumatoid arthritis, as it's low-impact, and great for lubricating the joints; but as with any new activity, I would be sure to check with your doctor. Thanks for checking in!

Q:

Hi there, I don't have an active package right now. I purchased a 10-class pack last spring and finally used up the last one a week or so ago. Does the fact that I used my last class recently disqualify me from buying this groupon, even though I bought the package way before the deadline? Thanks!

Rachel R.  asked on  Feb 12, 2013

A:

Hi Rachel, Since your 10 pack was still active a week or so ago (on or after 11/13/12), then you are not eligible for this deal. Thank you for checking!

Q:

I am not completely new to yoga and have taken a few classes and done some videos at home. I have always wanted to try the heated yoga but I am not sure which heated class would be best for beginners? I want to make sure this option is available before I purchase the groupon. Thank you!

Corri  asked on  Feb 12, 2013

A:

Hi Corri, Great question! We have a wide range of classes accessible to all levels. I would take a look at our class descriptions online to see which class sounds like it'd be the best fit for you. I would recommend trying at least one CorePower Yoga 1 class to start, and if you feel like experimenting with the heat, then you could transition to a CorePower Yoga 2 or Hot Power Fusion class. To view our class descriptions, visit www.corepoweryoga.com, and click on the link "Yoga for Beginners." From there, click on the "Yoga Class Descriptions" tab at the bottom - this will provide a good breakdown of all our class types. I hope that helps!

Q:

How do we find out when the last time we bought a drop-in class was? I know I purchased a single class drop-in at some point in the last several months, but don't recall if it was before or after 11/13/12 or not.

Elizabeth W.  asked on  Feb 12, 2013

Q:

Are there classes suitable for someone that is pregnant?

Kristen W.  asked on  Feb 12, 2013

A:

Hi Kristen, Our CorePower Yoga 1 classes are unheated, and great during pregnancy. Just avoid any deep twists (like prayer twist, revolved crescent lunge, etc.), any spine strengthening on your stomach, and any belly up core work. And, as always - listen to your body! And be sure to let the instructor know that you're pregnant, and they can assist you with further modifications. I hope that helps!
