What You'll Get

The racy titles, raunchy covers and over-the-top plot lines of romance paperbacks are about to take a comedic turn, thanks to Corn Productions’ Smut: The Improvised Romantic Book. Each week at Chicago’s Cornservatory, a member of the Jane Barbe improv comedy troupe will dramatically read from a smutty romantic novel and then give a steamy but informative book report using visual aids. After the presentation, the rest of the team will perform an improv set based on what they learned. Using the team’s skills to blend the absurd with the everyday and their unique way of incorporating audience suggestions, Smut promises to be sexy, emotional, instructive and hilarious.
