Q:

Me again! My daughter has lessons on horses in an Arena, and she is 8, 9 in August. Is she too young? I know you say 10, but as she is very comfortable with horses, thought I'd ask.

A:

Sorry for the delay. All participants must be at least 10 years of age.

Q:

We are experienced riders and would like to know if there is opportunity up to a canter pace. I see your answer as far as leisurely pace and I obviously agree with your concerns for safety; but if you could elaborate "liesurely" that would be helpful. Thank you.

A:

Hi Jennifer, Our rides are at a walk. Sometimes people get a trot in to catch up to the horses in front. The horses are usually spread out well so it is quite enjoyable and doesn't feel like you are wedged into a line of horses. Thanks for the interest.

Q:

Hello, I would like to come for a trail ride using a groupon. One girl is ten and the other two turn 10 in August. Do we have to wait until August to use the groupon or are they close enough to 10 yrs. now.

Colleen  asked on  Mar 26, 2013

A:

Hi Colleen, The ages are close enough to our 10+ requirement. Please be sure at least one adult family member books and rides too so they have family. Thanks.

Q:

My youngest of 3 grandchildren was 9 in February. She has ridden and is the one who wants to ride the most. Is the age absolute. She is also a skier.

Ann K.  asked on  Mar 26, 2013

A:

Hi Ann, Thanks for checking. I believe your 9 y/o granddaughter will do fine since she has ridden before. Just be sure at least one adult family member books as well so the kids have family with them on the ride.

Q:

Good Morning! I was wondering if the trail ride (2 hr) included any opportunities for trot or canters, or even gallops? We do have some experience (arena lessons), but 3 have never galloped, and one has not galloped for many years. :-)

A:

Hi Carolyn, Thanks for your interest. We take a leisurely pace with consideration for the horses well being and the safety of the riders.

Hello, I was wondering if there was any opportunity for trotting, cantering or even a gallop on the (2 hr) trail ride? We have some experience, in the arena, up to cantering. :-))
