Designed for young baseball players of all levels, the All Star Day Camps deliver an exciting and educational experience with one of the nation's leading college-level baseball programs. Hosted at the well-known Don Sanders Field at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park, campers learn directly from University of Houston coaches and players while building their skills and enjoying a fun-filled atmosphere.
2025 Camp Schedule
- June 9 – June 12: All Star Day Camp I
- June 16 – June 19: All Star Day Camp II
- June 23 – June 26: All Star Day Camp III
- July 14 – July 17: All Star Day Camp IV
- July 21 – July 24: All Star Day Camp V
What to Expect at Camp
Each day, campers will work on baseball fundamentals and enjoy organized games. They will be grouped by age and skill level and rotate through hitting and defensive stations in the mornings, followed by afternoon games. A 45-minute lunch break will be held around 12:15 PM, along with snack and water breaks throughout the day.
Lunch Options
Lunch is available for purchase at $5 per day or campers may bring their own packed lunch. The rotating menu includes:
- Monday & Wednesday: Hamburgers
- Tuesday & Thursday: Pizza
What to Bring
- Glove, bat, helmet, batting gloves
- Baseball hat, turf or tennis shoes (cleats optional)
- Catcher’s equipment (if needed)
- All personal gear must be clearly labeled with the camper’s name
Facilities
All camp activities are held at Don Sanders Field, featuring a full turf field, indoor batting cages, a training facility, and an indoor turf area. The camp will operate rain or shine.
Parking & Check-in Information
- All parking on campus is paid parking.
- For full-day parking, the “Guest” Parking Garage near the baseball field is recommended.
- Drop-off and pick-up are allowed at Lot 16B during the 30-minute window at the start and end of each camp day.
- Check-in begins Monday at 8:30 AM at the front gate of Don Sanders Field.
Important Information
- All camp communication will be sent via email — please provide a valid and frequently-checked email address during registration.
- A completed Waiver & Medical Release Form is required at check-in and will be provided in the confirmation email.
- All camps are open to all applicants and limited only by age, grade, and capacity, in accordance with current regulations.
About Houston Pro Baseball Program
Led by Coach Todd Whitting entering his 15th season, Houston's baseball program has earned a reputation for developing talent and competing at a high level. The team has secured multiple championships and tournament appearances while maintaining an excellent academic standard, consistently achieving a 3.0 or higher team GPA. Many players have advanced into professional baseball under the program’s guidance.
