What You'll Get
This class builds on the training in Level 3 of becoming an artist with a strong point of view, who creates and produces original work through improvisation. So often we judge our work before it's time to do so.
We will get out of our heads and on our feet in this class to improvise as much content as possible and create through volume. Students will be tasked weekly to come in with original material, ranging from characters pieces to sketches to one-man show narratives.
These pieces will then be workshopped via improvisation with the ensemble. This class will culminate in a showcase of material created through improvisation that features the point of view of each artist.
Students will walk out of this class with an actionable method to get to work and produce on your own and with an ensemble of fellow writer/performers to collaboratively create with you.
Prerequisite: Completion of BCC Level 3 “Ensemble and Empowerment.”
