Earthy reds and supple whites now flow in Cowgirl Winery's wine tasting room, housed in a redwood barn with decor as eclectic and colorful as its namesake Cowgirls. Customers can sample from 7 local varietals including Rosé, Chardonnay, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Bordeaux style blends. Patrons are encouraged to enjoy their flights of wine and artisanal bread and cheese outside, where bocce courts and pinot vines present a leisurely diversion and free-range chickens offer tips on identifying flavor profiles.
Owner Walter Georis spent years searching France for the perfect Winemaker, little did he know he’d find one who not only shared his love for wine, but also shared his last name! Winemaker Damien Georis doesn't know much about ranching, but he does know a thing or two about wine. After studying Agricultural Engineering at the University of Gembloux in Belgium, he received the French National degree of Enology from the University of Bordeaux.
