Just like the pumpkins, corn, and other vegetables on its property, Cox Farm had to grow. It started as a roadside stand in 1926, and the farm grew along with its popularity. A tornado came and wiped out the property in 1991, but the farm was rebuilt and began growing again. Today, it continues to supply fresh produce to Wichita and surrounding areas.

But Cox Farm does more than just feed people: it entertains them, too, especially during its annual fall festival. Every year, families head down to the farm to enjoy its slew of activities, including a corn maze, hayrides, and even live music and vendors on the weekends. Visitors can browse Cox Farm's massive pumpkin patch, where many pumpkins grow to enormous sizes thanks to the region's notorious milk rain showers.
