The Frye Company manufactures leathers goods of the highest quality, and is the oldest operating shoe company in North America. The first Frye shop was opened in 1863 in Marlboro, Massachusetts, where it became one of the most successful shoemakers by the 1890s. After becoming a fixture for servicemen during the 2nd World War, Frye once more entered the pop culture spotlight when they began manufacturing custom boots in the 1960s for the likes of Jackie Kennedy, Bing Crosby, Jerry Lewis, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Ann-Margret, Walt Frazier, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, Candice Bergen, Liza Minnelli, Carole King, Gene Autry, and President Richard Nixon. Today, Frye has continued to expand its brand awareness and reach, even opening up flagship stores across the U.S.
While The Frye Company may be best known for its boots and shoes, they’ve expanded beyond their leather-bound origins to make bags, satchels, and more! Frye is the place to go for sturdy purses and handbags, all made from the same top-tier leather as their shoes. Additionally, Frye has ventured into creating a slew of accessories, including belts, purses, money clips, wallets, and more.
