Q:

I have a group of 8 people. I see that there are packages for 2, 4 or 6 people. How would I go about purchasing for the 8 people?

Luis C.  asked on  Mar 2, 2012

A:

You can buy a groupon for 6 and one for 2, you can buy two groupons for 4 or you can buy four groupons for 2 to get enough for your party of 8. Please give us a call at 800-553-7238 if you have further questions or wish to make a reservation. Sharon

Q:

My friends and I are a group of 12. How likely is it that, if we made reservations for two 6-person groups 2+ months in advance, that we could all go on the same day?

Christina P.  asked on  Mar 1, 2012

A:

Very likely. We have 70 single funyaks available every day. Just keep in mind that once you make the reservation it is non-refundable - good for the day that you book only. When you do make a reservation you will need to give the groupon certificate # as payment. Sharon

Q:

how many people isconsidered a larger group that would want to raft 2--4 rapids . Do we all get seperate inflatable kayaks

deborah  asked on  Feb 28, 2012

A:

Inflatable kayaks are built for 1 adult or double kayaks can carry an adult and a child. Inflatable kayaks are limited by Massachusetts law on the Deerfield River to Class 1-2 rapids. Class 2-4 rapids are traveled in guided rafts by Crab Apple Whitewater. Class 4 is great fun! Wet and wild!

Q:

what is class 1 and 2 rapids

deborah  asked on  Feb 27, 2012

A:

Whitewater Rapids are rated Class 1-5 for commercial operators. Class 1 and 2 is mild - perfect for the inflatable kayaks called "Funyaks". These rapids are fun, but not scary. Boats rarely, if ever, turn over in these rapids. Each trip includes instruction and all equipment needed. We look forward to seeing you on the river! - Crab Apple Whitewater

Q:

How does the 3 hours break up?

robbin r.  asked on  Feb 27, 2012

A:

3 hours is the time on the water. You would want to plan on being with us from 1:45pm-5;45pm. When you arrive, you get fitted for equipment, and have pre-trip instruction. A short ride to the starting point, 1.5 hrs then a riverside snack, (we provide), 1.5 hrs funyaking down to our base, quick change of clothes, then photo presentation of your adventure. Hope this helps. Enjoy your day! Carrie

Is early april too early to go white water rafting? and is instruction included? we've never done it before, so some kind of training/instruction would be very helpful. Thank you, Maithili.

Maithili, April is not to early to go rafting or funyaking, it is a bit chilly though.
