About Crabtoberfest

At Crabtoberfest, Maryland's Eastern Shore cuisine meets German culture. Festival goers can sip on German beer and chow down on steamed crabs (and other delicious fare) while enjoying dancing, music, and more during this one-day celebration of Dorchester's sister county partnership with Dueren. Here's what you can expect at Crabtoberfest:

  • Events: Enjoy folk dancing, face painting, live music, crafts, and even a Best Dressed at the Fest contest (lederhosen and dirndls are strongly encouraged).

  • Beer: The brew selection may include German favorites such as Spaten, and Bitburger, as well as American beer like Budweiser and Coors Light.

  • Food: Chow down on seafood from Rock Lobstah, Italian food from Stoked Wood-Fired Eatery, gastropub cuisine from The High Spot, and baked goods from Bay Country Bakery, as well as other local offerings.
