Q&A with Ian D. Thompson U.e., Chair
What special training do you or your staff have?
We won the Tourism Caledonia Scotch Thistle Award for bringing tourists into Caledonia. Chair Ian Thompson received an award from the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for heritage conservation and education.
Any place with enough history is bound to acquire a few ghost stories, and Caledonia is no exception. Creepy Caledonia's guides provide guests with the opportunity to explore the settings of these creepy legends with regular tours of the historic downtown. Lit by flickering lanterns, tours lead groups to dark corners of the city, packing their spooky stories with plenty of local history lessons to boot. Creepy Caledonia caps off the fall season with a massive Halloween festival. At this all-ages celebration, little ones enjoy mild scares, crafts, and face painting while more mature souls embark on scarier activities in the Wastelands Haunted House, the Maze of Mayhem, and the Creepy CarnEvil, where behind every tent flap lurks a goblin or ghoul howling for cotton candy.
