What You'll Get

In Les Misérables II: Final Justice, Jean Valjean is arrested for committing an even greater crime against French law: applying margarine to another man’s moustache during dinner without asking first. Feast around the proper tableside etiquette of France with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of elegant French fare and drinks at Crêpes Française, located downtown on Tejon Street.

Crêpes Française's expansive menu offers a variety of sweet and savory crêpes, seasonal chef specials, and diverse French fare. The charming European eatery welcomes visitors for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as Sunday brunch. Delicately sweet crêpes such as the crêpe citron (lemon juice and powdered sugar, $5) start flying from the kitchen early in the morning along with savory day starters in the form of quiche ($7), omelettes ($8), and more crêpes ($2–$9). The less bright-eyed and bushy-tailed members of the population can indulge in equally elegant brunch and lunch fare, ranging from light bites to hearty plates such as the crêpe au poulet, a scrumptious bundle of sautéed chicken breast, mushrooms, onion, garlic, and Mornay sauce ($11). For dinner, dive into a coriander-crusted fillet of salmon, taking breaks to splash around inside pools of couscous, shaved-fennel and citrus salad, and tomato beurre blanc ($16).

The Colorado Springs Gazette reviewed Crêpes Française and gave it three out of five stars. The Colorado Springs Independent and Examiner also featured the restaurant and crêperie. TripAdvisors award it an average of 4.5 owl-eyes.

  • I’ve always thought crepes were best not as sit-down food, but as a fast, conveniently packaged treat more akin to the hotdog. It’s a delight that Crêpe Française proved me both wrong and right. The eatery that took over the space left by Flavors on Tejon has somewhat formal tables complete with white table cloths and glasses of Burgundy, but on nice days the kitchen also sets up a small outdoor stand where you can get simpler, but no less delicious crepes on the go for considerably less money. – Nathaniel Glen, Colorado Springs Gazette
  • My group tried an assortment of sweets and couldn't decide between the crepes suzette and the gateau. Go on; splurge. If you're going to do it, this IS the place. – Alyce Morgan, Examiner
