Pretty cool place to see alligators, turtles, tortoises. crocodiles, and snakes locally! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We bought 2 large cups of alligator food, and they suggested we break the bigger pieces (by twisting the briquettes) so the food would last longer.
Clean, and you can tell the staff cares about the critters.

Great place to learn about alligators, crocodiles, and turtles. The tour guide had a plethora of knowledge and the show with the two gators Godzilla and Medusa was neat to see in action with the trainer. Great to see that this sanctuary has given these animals an excellent life after being turned in by people who think they want a "pet". Lots of education and insight into how these animals interact with other gators and humans. A great chance for children to see these creatures up close and to feed the animals throughout the exhibits.

About Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary
Alligator Sanctuary has filled its huge, outdoor enclosures with dozens of living fossils. Gators from private owners, public institutions, and rescue services all find a forever home at Alligator Sanctuary, where they are broken up by age and size. Younger gators may start off at the Elementary swamp and move up to larger and larger habitats as they grow. To see the sanctuary's largest guests, head over to Godzilla's Swamp, where the 30-year-old 10-foot-long Godzilla reigns supreme over his brood of mega-size reptiles. Visitors should keep their eyes open for turtles, tortoises, and even a few bearded lizards, which can also be found soaking up some sun. And students young and old can learn even more about the natural world as they explore the sanctuary's Jungle of the Amazon greenhouse and the covered nursery for gators still too young and vulnerable to play in the outdoor swamps.
