At a Glance
Critical Defense Training's founder and lead instructor, Dr. Art Joslin, draws inspiration from something seemingly simple: a building block. The NRA training counselor and advanced pistol instructor teaches classes that take a building-block approach by starting with the simplest skills required to properly handle a firearm. From there, he moves on to intermediate techniques, and then ends with advanced skills such as reloading while under stress. Beyond public firearms courses, Critical Defense Training hosts classes for instructors as well as lessons in non-lethal self-defense.
