CrossFit classes combine strength training with high-intensity cardio exercises; although specific circuits change daily, workouts may include sprints, rope jumping, pull-ups, squats, weight-lifting, and plyometric training. See the schedule of classes here.

CrossFit Denton

After rising through the ranks, taking leadership of an aikido school, and attaining a fourth-degree black belt, John Thompson decided he wanted to try something that would push him even harder. He tried CrossFit at the urging of his sensei, and was quickly able to feel its positive impact on both his martial-arts practice and everyday life. Now, he shares the system with others through training sessions at CrossFit Denton. Outfitted with everything from pull-up bars to plyo boxes, the gym is specially designed to maximize the impact of the lauded strength-and-conditioning program. There, exercisers bust through whole-body workouts, which change every day to encourage muscle confusion and prevent burnout.
