Participants walk in for their workout session greeted by the workout of the day—a daily changing regimen of exercises scrawled on the chalkboard in CrossFit Malicious’s low-key facility. Following a brief warm-up, trainers shout, “three, two, one, go!” and an intense blend of weightlifting, plyometrics, and kettlebell swinging begins. Classes meet Monday–Friday at 6 a.m., 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 12 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., with a Saturday-morning session held at 10 a.m.

The trainers at CrossFit Malicious focus each workout of the day on functional movement rather than unnecessary muscle bulking and flexibility training done merely to save money when shipping oneself via ground carrier.
