Enter CrossFit's workout of the day, an intense, continually changing set of functional movements such as pulling and squatting—two movements that not only build up multiple muscle groups but also prepare practitioners to remove Thanksgiving turkeys from the oven. Innis and company schedule these workouts as many as five times a day, letting students join in after they've perfected their technique in introductory OnRamp lessons. They've also equipped their facility with the specialty and competition-level gym equipment necessary to transform muscles into diamonds, including Rogue Fitness gymnastics rings and dead-lift platforms.
