At CrossFit Silos, trainers trade the flatscreen TVs and saunas found in most sterile globo-gyms for kettlebells, pull-up bars, and barbells, helping members get into strong, sleek shape with high-powered strength and conditioning workouts. The certified CrossFit coaches hail from a wide variety of health and fitness backgrounds, from a rugged expedition racing enthusiast to a certified Doctor of Chiropractic. Armed with the positive motivation and know-how of these committed coaches––as well as the support of a team of like-minded classmates––clients push their bodies to the limit with daily-changing, high-intensity workouts, otherwise known as WODs (or workouts of the day). These short bursts of varied activity fit easily into any work schedule, and are paired with supplemental nutritional guidance to ensure the body burns fat efficiently and maximizes its flexing potential.
