Thanks for responding. I can send you a copy of the groupon – it says at the top “15 worth of coffee and baked goods” I do not see it on the groupon "must be used in one visit" and the woman today said it must be used on cookies... so I would prefer to not go back and try to convince her to let me use it on coffee - i will never need to buy 15 worth of coffee at once or 15 worth of cookies. And in now way do i expect “change/cash back” for the groupon – but like other groupons purchased in the past, it should be able to be used like a g.c. OR it should clearly state that it is to be used in one visit. i do not see that information listed anywhere - i am a college graduate and have read it several times, including the groupon that is advertised today.

Jennifer, I cannot speak for Groupon but as a merchant of Groupon I can tell you we have no way of redeeming only a portion of any deal. There is no way to give you Groupon change back or a gift certificate for another visit. You are welcome to use the Groupon that you purchased for what it offers - if it says $15 worth of baked goods and coffee we are happy to do so. A dozen cookies in the store is a $15 value. We're happy to mix and match cookie flavors and coffees until we reach that amount but, again, have no way of redeeming anything less than the full amount. In the case of coffee cards a customer redeems the Groupon (in its entirety) and receives a card good for 5 or 10 coffees. The same is true of the $15 deal. The customer redeems the Groupon and receives $15 worth of baked goods or coffees (or both). I'm not sure what else I can tell you. I've contacted Groupon for guidance and clarification but this is the fifth time we've run an offer like this and only the first time the question has come up. Again, I apologize for any confusion and am striving to provide a pleasant experience for you in our store. Please contact Groupon directly if you feel that this is an unsatisfactory response.

Q:

Buyers beware: Seeing this pop up today, i was reminded that I had bought a groupon for this company a couple of months ago. I decided to go today and try it for the first time to see if I should purchase more today before the day was over. I presented the coupon to the woman at the counter - the same one on here "$7 for $15 worth of coffe or baked goods". She first told me that it HAD to be used on a dozen cookies and can't be used on coffee - EVEN though it says "$15 worth fo coffee and baked goods" on the groupon. AND she went on to say it had to ALL be used at one time. - she was extremely irritable! what a bummer - was excited to try a new coffee place and get a snack with my daughter :( won't be back.....

Jennifer, Sorry for the confusion. The Groupon is broken up into 3 separate deals. One is for $15 worth of baked goods, another is 5 coffees and the third is an offer for 10 coffees. The deal you purchased is for $15 worth of baked goods. We can break that up in the store between cookies and coffees but it does (per the fine print) need to be spent in its entirety in one visit. We have no way of giving 'change' for a Groupon. Only the coffee cards can be used in multiple visits. Again, I apologize for the confusion and hope you will return but we are limited by the terms of the agreement. Everything you need to know about the transaction is listed on the Groupon coupon and in the fine print when you purchased the offer. Thank you for your question, we hope to see you again and give you a better experience.
