From fantastical cabins to giggle-inducing slides made of ice, Crystal Cabin Fever undermines Old Man Winter’s iron-fisted grip on outdoor fun with a wonderland of glittering ice sculptures. Visitors can careen down the playground’s signature slide and explore a fully furnished ice cabin, replete with icy accouterments including dining tables, beds, and bears looking to upgrade their timeshare.
In the past, guests have ogled life-size sleighs, bridges, and ice-encased flowers as Crystal Cabin’s squad of ice masters rotates between themes annually. Spectators gawk at the deft manipulations during ice-sculpture shows and competitions as professional and amateur ice shavers cross chainsaws. Check the schedule for dates and times to participate in the competition to see how many ice sculptures you can stick your tongue on.

About Crystal Cabin Fever
Every winter, the professional ice carvers at Sculpted Ice Works whittle and chip away at large blocks of ice to create Crystal Cabin Fever, an indoor interactive display of expertly formed frozen water. In the event’s infancy, the exhibit was limited to a life-size ice cabin, but it has since blossomed to include a unique annual theme, live carving demonstrations, and an ice slide, totaling more than 100 tons of ice in all. In the fall, Sculpted Ice Works hosts Night at the Ice Museum, with ice sculptures and seasonal fun. Factory tours and a museum on ice harvesting are open year-round.
