What You'll Get
Welcome to Groupon, Ogden! For our inaugural deal, $10 gets you $20 worth of cupcakes, treats, and more at one of two Cutsie Cakes locations listed in the side bar. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Ogden: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power." If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (20 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons or redeem them with our mobile app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in six months. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
Cups provide containment for life-sustaining water, protect the tender nether regions, and allow eavesdropping through walls. Combine these benefits with the scrumptiousness of cake with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of cupcakes, cakes, and more at CutsieCakes, with locations in Layton and South Ogden. Helmed by Amberlynn Rasmussen, the sweet sovereigns at CutsieCakes craft delectable treats from scratch using all-natural ingredients and tender loving care. Opt for one of more than 60 different cupcake flavors, including daily rotating specials. Fill mouths with classic standbys such as german chocolate and key lime, or dip tongues into new waters with offerings such as maple bacon, french toast, and peanut butter and jelly. CutsieCakes also features a variety of baked goods such as wedding cakes, cupcake bouquets, and birthday cakes, ideal for Valentine’s Day, baby showers, and International Brain Awareness Month. Settle into the café atmosphere at the South Ogden location, or head to the Layton location where customers can watch the cupcakes being made by hand in the 750-square-foot open kitchen.
- She is getting in on the huge cupcake trend, but the daily variety sets Cutsie Cakes apart. "We change our flavors every day, and we have an average of eight to 10 every day," Rasmussen says. Since her store opened in August, she has whipped up more than 100 different combinations. – Brooke Walker, KSL.com
- As somone who goes in on a nearly weekly basis for my "fix," I can safely vouch for their deliciousness. – Google user who posted on 8/14/2010
