Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

I was wondering if I bought 2 vouchers and gave one to my friend to use would we be able to use them on the same visit?

Deirdre C.  asked on  Feb 27, 2013

A:

Hi Deirdre, As long as the purchaser of the groupon is present you can redeem two vouchers for two people. However you cannot use two vouchers back to back to make a four hour rental. You can also purchase groupons as a gift for friends, that way their name will be on the deal.

Q:

Is a regular car licence sufficient?

Lydia  asked on  Feb 27, 2013

A:

Hi Lydia, Taken from out FAQ's http://www.cyclebc.ca/faqs/scooters . If you are from BC we require that you have at least a class 7 (N) or class 5 driver’s licence to rent. If you are from outside of BC we require that you carry a valid license from your country of origin that allows you to drive a vehicle without supervision. More Questions and Answers

Q:

Hi, is there the option to extend the 2 hour limit for a similar deal? Thanks

Adrian W.  asked on  Mar 2, 2013

A:

This Groupon is valid for the services listed on the deal page only. For pricing on additional services or accommodations, please contact the business directly for an estimate.

Annette B.  from  Self  replied on  Mar 2, 2013

A:

Hi Adrian, Once your two hour period expires you have the option to continue scooting at our regular retail rate of $16/hr, prorated every 15min. Your insurance for the day will have already been taken care of with the deal so the maximum cost for the day would be $37(daily max of $69-$32 from the deal) plus whatever gas you used and taxes. http://www.cyclebc.ca/scooters/honda-jazz

Q:

The expiry date of June 16, 2013 only relates to the expiration of the deal correct? In other words, I can use this scooter rental after June 16, 2013 or is that the expiry date of when I need to use my groupon?

Cheryl M.  asked on  Mar 1, 2013

A:

Hi Cheryl, This is covered by Groupons fine print http://www.groupon.com/pages/universal-fine-print in particular "For traditional Groupon vouchers, the promotional value will EXPIRE on the date specified in the offer, unless prohibited by law. The amount paid WILL NEVER EXPIRE and must continue to be honored by the merchant after the promotional value expires. The amount paid may be applied toward any goods or services offered by the merchant if the promotion is no longer available. Promotional value can’t be combined with other offers. Doesn’t cover tax or gratuity. Not reloadable. Fully transferable." So in other words once your deal expires you would have a $20 credit that could be used for any of our rentals at a regular retail rate.

Q:

Hi - can I bring my 8 year old on the back of the double scooter? Thanks

Sarka N.  asked on  Feb 26, 2013

A:

Hi Sarka, The legal requirement is that the passengers feet must be able to touch the passenger foot pegs. That being said you would also want to make sure your son would feel comfortable and secure on the back of the scooter.
