Please don't buy the Groupon, the place do not want to take it, if you bought it because Groupon aparently takes half their money. so just make appointment directly.

Hair cut very un even. Medium hair above shoulder. Hair was very short in back and then not layered except for top. Not really overall layered as requested. Right side longer than left. Worse haircut I have ever had. A male family member had gone and got a nice layered haircut. Perhaps can only handle simpler hair cut. I can not recommend. I will need to let grow out a bit and have it cut again.

I bought a groupon for a wash, haircut and style and mentioned this fact on the phone. The stylist urged me to allow her to highlight my hair, saying it was only $10 more. I confirmed that all I needed to do was pay for the additional $10 and she agreed. I didn't have a lot of cash with me and the posted signs mentioned surcharges for credit cards. After the services were finished, she billed me for $60. I protested, saying that she'd said it was only $10 more. She said, "You didn't buy a Groupon for highlighting and it's only good for the services rendered, so you cannot use it." I protested, but had other errands to run and had already expended my buffer on the highlighting. I offered every penny of cash I had with me ($50). She grudgingly accepted it and I left. Days before the Groupon was to expire, I went back to this salon for "just the services covered by the Groupon." She asked whether I had been there before. I replied that I had. She said I could not use the Groupon because it was only for first-time customers. I said I'd been a first-time customer when I had tried to use the Groupon the first time but was not allowed to use it. She called her manager who asked me whether I had been there previously and reiterated that I could not use it. A man in the waiting area asked, "Did this situation spill out into the parking lot?" I said, "No, I grudgingly paid the bill and left. But it doesn't surprise me that this has happened to other people as well." Eventually, they allowed me to use the Groupon. I will not be returning to this establishment.

I purchased two groupons one as a gift and one for myself. My hair looks great - they did an up charge for long hair and both of our hair is is just past our shoulders. Overall a good experience.

Full vs. Partial Highlights: Exploring New Dimension

Highlights can add dimension to an existing style or double the transformative effect of a new one. Read our guide of the process to prepare for your trip to the salon.

A skilled stylist doesn’t need a pair of scissors to transform a hairdo. The precise application of highlights—which isolate select strands of hair and treat them with a color, lightener, or toner—can become the basis for a brand new look without a single snip or shear. Before entering the salon, however, a client has to decide how much of the hair to highlight. Applied evenly throughout the entire head, full highlights create a natural look that mimics the way hair changes color over time in the sun, adding a sense of dimension and texture to the existing hair. Partial highlights, which are typically cheaper and take less time to apply, serve an altogether different purpose: drawing attention to specific features, such as bangs or newly sharpened antlers, by accenting only the locks on the surface. As a result, partial highlights are somewhat less flexible—losing their effect, for example, when putting your hair up or teasing it out.
