What You'll Get
|_Jump to: Reviews||Your Motivation Mantra_|
You don’t need a million-dollar ego to train like an elite athlete with today’s Groupon: $35 gets you four classes at D1 Sports Training, an $80 value. The 25,000-square-foot facility, about 20 minutes from downtown Nashville, is the same place where pros such as Peyton Manning and Chris Hope, among others, have pumped iron. We’re not saying that a trip to D1 will make you next year’s first-round draft pick and we’re not saying it will make you a second-round pick either; what we are saying is you can train as if you were.
- D1’s scholastic training is for young athletes, but don’t let that fool you: it’s a fierce training program integrating character development, nutrition, and sports-specific development, so future inventors and world leaders will be able to throw a perfect spiral and dunk (take that, The Kremlin).
- The exec is a program for the more casual athlete: it’s a team-oriented program designed to improve speed, strength and agility while drawing on fellow trainees and personal coaches for motivation.
- The boot camp is what it sounds like¬: an intense hour-long total-body workout targeting different areas each session. You will be updated on your progress throughout your strength and resistance exercises, core workouts, balance training, and obstacle courses.
Since each class has a different focus, it’s best to call and ask for advice on which classes are best for your fitness goals. Think of these four classes as a taste test; if you’re ready for more, D1 will work with you to set up a routine specific to your needs.
Professional and amateur athletes alike have endorsed D1 Sports Training. In 2009, nine athletes who trained at D1 went on to be drafted into the NFL, bringing the total number of trainees in the NFL to 45. One Yahoo! reviewer gives D1 five stars: > * I wish I had a place like D1 to train at when I was growing up. I’m envious of kids today that have an opportunity to train here. I now train at D1 in preparation for the upcoming season because it makes me quicker, faster, stronger and a better athlete. – Peyton Manning, professional athlete, D1 website > * Once I made that decision to change and began training with Regeneration method I lost 130 lbs. My waist has dropped from a 48” to a 34” pant size. – Andrew Pittsenbarger, amateur athlete, D1 website > * Carter Hayes is an outstanding motivator, and trainer with unlimited knowledge of all aspects of training. – work hard, Yahoo! Local
