Q&A with Dre Nichols-Everett, CEO
Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
We have Exercise Habit Coach Accountability Programs which teach our members how to stay motivated and accountable to themselves for long term fitness success. We also make sure our classes are fun yet effective so people actually do not want to miss them.
What's the most radical physical transformation you've seen a client make?
We have an 80-pound weight loss success story at D3 and several other huge transformations. Also, several of our clients, who had never been able to make exercise a habit, have become fitness junkies because they LOVE D3.
Do you run your gym according to a particular exercise philosophy?
Every fitness level is welcome because we modify every class and make sure all members are working at their own pace. As trainers, we gradually push them to the next level, but we do it slowly so they do not feel overwhelmed. D3 is very much like a personal-training session in a group environment.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
D3 is very different from the typical gym. The environment is kind of like a FRA-ORITY- half frat half sorority, because you really feel a sense of belonging to something greater than you. D3 members own D3, not the owners. The members are our family and each person is treated very special. We have a wonderful community where every looks out for each other.
