D9 Brewing Company
If D9 Brewing Company has a specialty, it's beers with stories. The tale of the brewery's Witness Double Fermented Ale, for instance, is one of an underdog's triumph. It's an ultra-potent, 14% alcohol beer, even though it in no way lives up to strong beer stereotypes—it's light in color, infused with hints of peach, and can be safely served in mugs that aren't made of iron.
Each of the brewery's creations has a similarly complex character, yet they remain an intentionally motley bunch. In accordance with founder and CEO Andrew Durstewitz's wishes, they range from American ales to Viking heathers. There is one final commonality, though: patrons can sample the whole spectrum of them at the brewery's Cornelius taproom, open five days a week.
