Kettlebell fitness classes focus on functional movements, core stability and strength, injury prevention, and calorie burning. Sessions have four–six students per group, allowing the instructor to dole out individual attention. Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday at noon and Saturday at 2 p.m.
Dakota Personal Training and Pilates
After working in prestigious gyms around New York City, Eric Ludlow and Penny Smart-Ludlow opened Dakota Personal Training and Pilates to offer their clients a more personalized approach to fitness. In a studio outfitted with free weights, strength-training machines, and cardio equipment, they offer personal-training sessions, semiprivate training, and group training. They teach Pilates on the Reformer, mat, and chair, and also incorporate wellness coaching that includes nutritional counseling and stress management. Eric and Penny start each client with a complimentary consultation, allowing them to determine each individual’s goals and customize a plan to his or her needs.
