Part-time racecar drivers change into a full fire suit, clip on a helmet, and fasten a HANS device for a Sprint Cup stock-car racing experience. During the three-lap ride, a professional driving instructor hugs turns and blasts down straightaways at speeds of up to 165 mph. For the driving experience option, you get a crash course in motorway basics, including hand signals and how to safely fire yourself into the driver’s seat from a cannon. After swapping seats, you’ll take the wheel and accelerate to up to 170 mph for an additional six laps.
Racing Adventure places novice passengers alongside professional drivers for ride-along experiences on speedways around the country. Passengers circumnavigate the speedy circles at speeds of up to 175 mph aboard real racecars once owned by such drivers as Mark Martin, Michael Waltrip, and Bobby Labonte. Before embarking, riders receive safety training and suit up in a full fire suit complete with a helmet with facemask and Hans Device, the same head restraint used by professional heavy-metal guitarists.

“Everyone was helpful and the people that ride along with you when you are driving put you totally at ease. Woody was great.I think he had more confidence in me than I did. My recommendation is to drive for as many laps as you can afford because you definitely will be wanting more. Great family experience. Dads and Moms if you have older kids like I do, do it with them. My son came with me. Next time the whole family is doing it. The memories will last a lifetime.”
